Pălaemon, ŏnis, m., = Palaimôn.

A sea-god, formerly called Melicerta, the son of Athamas and Ino:

O Palaemon, sancte Neptuni comes,

won at the Isthmian games, which were celebrated in honor of Palœmon, Claud. Cons. Mall. Th. 289.—
